I have a license from another educational establishment. Can I continue education with APUL?

Entry into the APUL education

APUL is open to those interested in winter sports education, among other accreditation associations (AA) of the Czech Republic and around the world. The rules for entry into the APUL education system are defined by APUL Methodical Comittee in cooperation with representatives of various sections (skiing, snowboard, freeride, nordic).

If interested in recognition of other licenses and access to APUL education system, you must send a written request to info@apul.cz and attach a copy of already acquired qualifications and licenses.

The system of mutual recognition of licenses is based on the following rules:

  • Recognition of licenses is the responsibility of the APUL Methodical Committee in cooperation with representatives of different APUL sections
  • Obtaining an APUL license is only possible by completing the course
  • Recognition of different license is only possible if the applicant is also keen to enter the education APUL
  • Recognition of existing licenses and access to education on the level of APUL "C" (2nd grade) and above is only possible for licensees of partner associations and other accreditation associations within the ISIA and INTERSKI countries. For a transitional period, it is possible to recognize a license also from AA, which at the moment is not yet a partner AA, but only for instructors, who have confirmed the practice in APUL memeber ski school and have signed working contract with the ski school for the current period.

Partnership and cooperation within the Czech Republic

Recognition of licenses and access to APUL education is possible only for partner associations within INTERSKI countries. An assiciation that wants to become APUL partner association needs to meet the following criteria:

  1. Reciprocal and regular meetings of teachers and other representatives of the Association with members of APUL Methodical Committee or authorized personnel of APUL through seminars, courses, conferences and working groups
  2. Inclusion of APUL educational materials in the list of sources and literature in education of the Association
  3. Implementation of individual elements and principles of technical and educational concept APUL
  4. Substantively comparable content and corresponding time allocated to the various levels of education
  5. Mutual presentation of the Association and APUL as partner organizations (lectures, link to web site or social networks)

Approved partner accredited associations

1. Department of Recreology FTK Olomouc

2. FTVS Praha

3. FSPS MU Brno

If you have not found an accredited facility that issued your license in the list, please contact a representative of your accredited facility and ask him to initiate cooperation with APUL. APUL will be happy to cooperate with all accredited facilities that meet the above conditions.

APUL membership in the International Association ISIA and maintaining high quality education which corresponds to ISIA standards prevents APUL to recognize licenses from accredited facilities that do not meet the above conditions of cooperation.
